Nature at its best. The grainy feel and organic look of the crepe fabric are our perfect “translation” of the tactile values of nature. In two or three colours, SERA shows both subtle and intense hues, with a high volume structure, while the special woven binding lends it an air of sophistication.

Rohi was founded in 1933 by the designer Marga Hielle-Vatter and textile engineer Rolf Hielle, after whom rohi is named. The family business is today successfully run in it's third generation.

Rolf Hielle was the inventor and engineer who transformed his theoretical knowledge into practical, mechanical weaving technology. His pioneering spirit knew no bounds. The textile industry owes a lot to the inspirations his technical expertise provided. On the other hand, his wife Marga Hielle-Vatter served as a designer, as the creative head and mainspring of the company from day one. We now know that her ideas and designs were ahead of their time. The fact that Marga Hielle-Vatter congenially complemented her husband and both created a solid foundation for the company continues to ensure the Rohi brand’s survival today.

Rohi's wool is always premium quality. They firmly believe that the core competence of our weaving mill starts with the focus on the best raw material for the purpose. That is why they chose wool. Consistency. All of their products consist of almost 100 percent wool their favourite raw material, which has many unique properties by nature.

However, it is how we process the wool that makes Rohi textiles so special and precious: They not only buy the best quality finest pure new wool on the market, with their many years of experience but, can also make the very most of raw materials and finish them so that the materials sensual nature can really be seen: its extraordinarily lush touch, its softness and the particularly beautiful lustre

As every Rohi fabric is “made in Germany,” they are in control of the entire production process at all times. There are no opaque supply chains, no sub-contractors or general contractors. Rohi only cooperates with long-standing partners who pass their in-process quality tests and meet other strict standards a premium manufacturer must satisfy and their customers, are entitled to expect.
